Description

Taqleed literally means to follow an Imam with confidence that his view conforms to the Qur’an and Sunnah and consider it to be the truth, without looking into the evidence for it’. Based on this meaning, we find that in reality, all Muslims do Taqleed knowingly or unknowingly. The reason for this is clearly seen from the conduct of all Muslims. Almost all Muslims rely on one scholar or another, from whom they take their advice, and adopt their rulings.

Bidʿah means ‘innovation’). It refers to innovation in religious matters. Linguistically, as an Arabic word, the term can be defined more broadly, as “innovation, novelty, heretical doctrine, heresy.

In Islam, Bid’ah refers to innovations introduced into religious practices that were not part of the original teachings of Islam. Bid’ah is against the teachings of Islam as conveyed by the Qur’an and Sunnah which are essential for maintaining the purity and integrity of the faith.
